Where are we going?
On top of the world "is the feeling you get when you stand on the 347 meter high barren Tebutop; literally the best highlight of this expedition. We pass maroon communities: the Paramaccan Fasteners, Aluku Aucaners and then the impressive rapids to the land of the Wayana and Trio travel natives. Visit historic villages en route and create an intriguing way to know ancient traditions that are very well intact. Discover, view and experience nature through the eyes of both the Maroons and the Amerindians who are both in harmony with the rainforest.
The first tour day we fly from airport Zorg en Hoop in Paramaribo within an hour Drietabbetje. In Drietabbetje, a large Aucan village introduces you to the culture of the Aucaners. Here you can also swim in the cool waters of the river Tapanahony. The night takes place in a simple hut in hammocks with mosquito netting.
on day 2 of Drietabbetje we leave early in the morning towards Apetina. Over several rapids we will have to drag our boat. This perception requires some effort but is unforgettable. After the first rapids we stop at Granbori, the last Maroon village. There are people still live in a very traditional way.
After lunch continue towards Tutu Kampoe, where we meet the first group of natives. Because these indigenous villages are difficult to reach these people live almost entirely self-sufficient. After this introduction, we continue towards Punsula which is the biggest rapids on our journey. The boat we'll all have to pull through the water.
Arriving in Apetina we get a tour of the village to get a good picture of how the natives live here. The night takes place in an authentic hut on stilts.
On day 3 we make mornings a village walk through Apetina. And the ascent of the Tebutop!
The ascent of the 374 meters high, holy mountain, walk about two and a half hours. The bare, steep granite rock is hard, but once at the top you feel like you can handle the whole world.
Enjoy the breathtaking view over an almost heavenly rainforest. Silence reigns at the top.
After the climb we sail back towards Apetina. Here you can relax in the river. Even today we spend the night here.
Day 4 in Apetina you still have the option after breakfast to buy souvenirs that locals offering. On the way towards Drietabbetje we have to drag the boat over and we Punsula stabbing some other wonderful rapids.
Arriving in Drietabbetje, the residence of the great chief (Granman) of Aucaners you get a tour of the village, and we may meet the Granman. In Drietabbetje we spend the night in a hammock with mosquito net in a hut with a beautiful view of the beautiful river.
The last day you after breakfast, morning at leisure. Around noon we fly back to airport Zorg en Hoop in Paramaribo.

Gran Rio Jungle Expeditie

Where are we going?
An expedition to the virgin Amazon forest on the Gran Rio river is an absolute experience for nature lovers who would like to enter into a challenging-ing! It begins with the flight of an hour to Awarradam Jungle Lodge, which offers a magnificent view of the virgin tropical rainforest of Suriname. During the canoe trip from Jungle Lodge Awarradam to base camp you will pass numerous spectacular rapids. The beautiful and spirited junglestreks be richly rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the Amazon rain forest. On this tour, away from civilization, you can fully enjoy the stunning flora and fauna. Gran Rio Jungle Expedition is a must for adventurers and nature lovers!
Day 1: Our jungle adventure starts at Zorg en Hoop airport, where we check in for the flight of about an hour, to Kajana airport on Gran-Rio Rivier.Vervolgens we sail in a canoe, half an hour to Awar-radam jungle Lodge. Here the forage and our local escorts on board and depart further the Gran Rio river. A beautiful boat trip of about 3 hours upstream direction takes you to the beautifully situated base camp, where we will sleep three nights in hammocks. After settling we explore the area while the cook prepares our supper. After dinner we discuss the route for the next day; our frst trip in the virgin Amazon rainforest.
Day 2: A 4 km (way up) long trail through primary forest takes us to our destination for today, the Logoso-kun, Saramaccan for Turtle Hill. Three hills on the way make the walk nice and spicy. The end point is at 310 meters, offers beautiful views of the surrounding forest and is named after the turtle that was found in the discovery of the place. In the afternoon we return to our base camp and can fully enjoy the cool river with its rapids. Our local coaches take you on along the river to catch fish in the traditional way.
Day 3: On this day, there are several hiking destinations. Gangasa-sitonu is a beautiful, overha-ing large stone that lies somewhere in the middle of the jungle. The walk to it is not so far (2.5km), allowing more time to pay attention to local flora and fauna. About as far as the walk yesterday visited Logosokun (4.1 km) lies the Folokun, Saramaccan for flower hill. This is a slightly lower viewpoint, but the area at which one arrives is greater, so that some can walk. In consultation it is decided which destination is affected. At sunset we drive with the canoe.
This is the right time of day for spotting animals. In nice weather, we make campfire and listen to the stories of our companions, who like to tell you how important this environment for the Saramaccans of the first hour.
Day 4: After a late breakfast we get ready for our cruise back to Awarradam, where the last night is spent. Along the way we get our drift and can enjoy the flora and fauna of this on-mention forest. Late in the afternoon we arrive at Awarradam Jungle Lodge, where we will spend the night in tra dioneel built huts. Where are we going?
The Maroni River is one of the most beautiful rivers in Suriname. The mighty rapids are. This tour will give you a good idea of the life of the Aucanian Maroons in this area. Stoelmanseiland lies between the rivers and Lawa Tapanahony who come together here and continue as the Maroni River. Stoelmanseiland was founded by the Dutch soldier Captain Stoelman. Under his leadership, a number of research trips were made to the area.
What are we going to do?
We depart from Paramaribo by bus to the border town of Albina, where you get a guided tour. Perkorjaal from Albina to the town of St. Laurent in French Guiana. We get a tour of the prison grounds which has become famous by the book adaptation of Henri "Papillon" Charriere.
We sail after lunch to the village Bigi Ston (large rock), the only village where cohabitation Maroons and Amerindians. After a short visit to the boats creators we continue to camp Njun Campu. Kasikasima 5 or 7 days tour
Where is Kasikasima?
Palumeu is about 65 minutes from Paramaribo. It lies at the beginning of the Tapanahony at the confluence of the Upper and Palumeu Tapanahony. This gets its water from the rain and Palumeu is 170 m above sea level.
What information
We fly across the Suriname river Paranam about the airport, on the reservoir / Brownsberg. The route we follow and see the end of the road Atjoni. Then we see the villages Laduani, Botopasi and Dyumu. The last 10 minutes we fly over mountains and you see the Rosevelt Peak. Before we Kasikasima you see countries Hills The first night you sleep on Palumeu. All Lodges feature river views, beds with mosquito net, shower and toilet. How our tour look like?

Kwamalasamutu-Sipaliwini

Where is Sipaliwini?
Kwamalasamutu is the largest native village (Trio) seat of the great chief (Granman) of Sipaliwini. This village lies on the Sipaliwini River where are located the caves. Habitat of the blue poison dart frog (Okopipi). The newly discovered caves Werephai with ten thousand year old petroglyphs are visiting more than worth it (petroglyphs).
What are we going to do?
Departure by plane from Zorg en Hoop from Paramaribo.Na a beautiful flight over the jungle arrival Kwamala. After our residence have taken the traditional hammocks camp on the banks of the river, we visit the Granman (Great chief of the Trio Indians) In the afternoon we do a village tour and we are introduced to the different traditional tribes and their lifestyles and their daily household.
Day 2 After breakfast we are ready for the beautiful and interesting boat trip on the totally unspoilt Sipaliwini direction east. By noon we reached the base camp for the night. (Bivouac).
Day 3 After breaking up our camp and a good breakfast we continue our boat trip to the Indian village Sipaliwini where we arrive around 13:00. In the afternoon we have a meeting with the captain of this village and the local population. Evening socializing in the camp along the river Sipaliwini where we will spend the night in the famous hammocks.
Day 4: After breakfast we depart Mamia in the Sipaliwini savannah, looking for the Dendrobatis Azureus (rare blue poison dart frog) Okopipi, found only in this area of Suriname. Next, a walk of about 1.5 hours to the summit of the Four Brothers, with stunning views of the savannah and the distant Brazil. In the afternoon we return to the base camp on Mamia where we will spend the night.
Day 5, with the boat back to Sipaliwini, make a walk which leads us to where to find the rare Rock Chicken (Cock of the Rock) are. In the afternoon, archery and swimming in the river.
On day 6 we make us do after breakfast ready for adventure on the many rapids to the base camp for the night, where we will enjoy a beautiful starry sky and many nature sounds of the rainforest o.a frogs and howler monkeys. We will also take a night cruise for spotting alligators, frogs and snakes.
Day 7, we leave early from the base camp and then a walk through the breathtaking scenery to the caves of Werephai with the newly discovered petroglyphs (rock carvings). These caves were discovered in 2001 and are between 5,000 and 10,000 years old. After a short stop at Iwanasamu we sail to Kwamalasamutu for the last night. In the afternoon you can, if desired, visit the shaman (medicine man) or to the women's center for buying souvenirs. The last day what relax and walk around. In the afternoon return to Zorg en Hoop jungle by plane.

Where is Maroni?
The district Marowijne is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean in the north by the districts Para and Commewijne in the west and by the district Sipaliwini in the south. In the east this district is separated from French Guiana by the Maroni river, which is known for its breathtaking rapids.
What are we going to do?
At approximately 8:00 am departure by car / bus to Langetabbetje which is switched into the canoe. After a cruise of about 1.5uur on the Maroni River arrival about 15:00 at holiday island Manja Tabiki. Along the way we will have lunch. After installing an island and walk the rest of the afternoon / evening can be filled in itself. Dinner and overnight in basic lodges including beds at Manja Tabiki.
On day 2, s' morning departure by boat to the Gran Creek. After an exciting journey through this creek arrival to the forest path that leads to the recently discovered waterfall. On day 4, after breakfast walk through the forest to the foot of the Lely Mountains which can be cooled below the waterfall. Avanavero Blanche Marie & Raleighvallen

Where are we going?
This 6 day tour run with 4 wheel drive car / bus through an unspoiled rainforest. The impressive Blanche Marie waterfalls are more than 300 km southwest of Paramaribo. It is one of the largest waterfalls in Suriname with a massive displacement.
The imposing waterfall stretches over 120 meters and is located in highland, the most beautiful kind of tropical rainforest, then we go to Avanavero, one of the most beautiful places in Suriname. With a four-wheel-drive car we drive through the loose sand savanna through forest roads and creeks. You can enjoy the virgin jungle and a piece of nature that can not be matched. We continue the trip to Raleigh Falls, located in the Central Suriname Nature Reserve. The reserve offers a wide variety of flora and fauna.
The biggest acticitviteit here is climbing the Voltzberg. The intensive journey to the top is rewarded with stunning views over the tropical rainforest. There are also many waterfalls where after strenuous and informative tour to cool. Nocturnal walks for spotting animals are also on the program. This place is also known for the unique appearance of the Cock of the Rock (Rock Rooster), well known by bird watchers around the globe.
What are we going to do?
We leave at 8: 00h from Paramaribo. The tour begins with a drive towards Zanderij; the way we make several stops to take pictures and consuming sandwiches and drinks. After Zanderij we pass some Native villages that takes us several creeks and bridges through the jungle to the Blanche Marie falls. Day 4 we continue the trip by boat to Raleigh Falls. On arrival at Fungu island will escort you to your accommodation. After lunch we depart by boat to Lolopasi and from there we take a walk to the stunning mother fall.
On day 5, Right after breakfast we get ready for the trip through the forest to the Voltzberg. This tour is very interesting and impressive. One can encounter many animals. The highlight on this day is of course the climb to the top (240 m), where you can enjoy stunning views of the tropical rainforest. On the way we make a stop at the fall Ajoemara for cooling. The last night we closed with a special dinner and then socializing.
Day 6 At about 10:00 we leave again by boat to Witagron from where we return by bus to Paramaribo. Additional information At low water level - especially in the dry season from September / to December - the Blanche Marie falls may be less spectacular.

Avanaverovallen 5 days
Where are we going?
With a four-wheel-drive car we drive through the loose sand savanna through forest roads and creeks. Along the way, it may be that, and recourse to you! What about trees trails, logging, catch fish for dinner? Or Save camp? During this five day trek we visit the fall Avanaverovallen where we go in search of ancient petroglyphs, but also includes the Marie Blanche.
What are we going to do?
Day 1 From Pararmaribo we drive along the Zanderij airport to the southwest of Suriname. At the height of the airport we will drive up the dirt bosontsluitingsweg direction Apoera. We pass three indigenous villages (Pikin Saron, Alfons village and Joseph Village) and a Maroon village (Witagron). The first night we spend way through the Van Ams creek. The rapids in the creek there is an opportunity to cool off. The night we spend in a small camp hammocks.
Day 2 After an exciting night in the jungle we pack everything back in and we drive towards Avanavero. The route is not used as often, so we will be on the road occasionally stopped by fallen trees. These trees we have to cut with a chainsaw in order to be able again. The chance of seeing animals is significant because few people come here. By the end of the morning we arrive at the Kabalebo river. By boat we stabbing over to the island where the lodge where we will spend the next few nights.
The lodge is equipped with a sleeping space for several persons, with 2 and 1 single beds with mosquito nets. There are shared toilet facilities. On site there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy in the water at the Avanavero rapids. When the water level permits viewing (only at high tide) we petroglyphs. Day 3: After breakfast we depart for a brisk walk and climbing the mountain Avanavero. At the top of the mountain is an abandoned cell tower, a relic of the many activities that took place in the seventy years in this area. Day 4 Today we take it easy and enjoy the surroundings. In the afternoon we leave the lodge and we drive towards Apu
ra. We take a look at this isolated strange 'village' which originally is a Native village. By the end of the afternoon we drive from Apoera to Blanche Marie. Around half past seven, the dark in Suriname so we drive a portion of the ride in the dark with the hope that we can spot animals on the road. In the dark we arrive at Blanche Marie. We will overnight in hammocks small camp or dome tents.
Day 5 It is a complete surprise to wake up in a whole new environment where we have come in the night before the dark. After breakfast we walk to the waterfall, it's a short walk of about fifteen minutes. At high tide we can cool off in the rapids. By the end of the morning will break up the encampment and begin the journey back to the city. There, we will arrive at the beginning of the evening.
Additional information At low water level - especially in the dry season from September / to December - the Blanche Marie falls may be less spectacular. Good body proper condition is required.

Where is Awarradam?
Awarradam is about 225km away from Paramaribo. It is located in the Gran Rio river 30 km downstream joins the Piking Rio to form the Upper Suriname River. This river leads into the Brokopondo lake.
What information
We fly across the Suriname river Paranam, on the airport, on the reservoir / Brown Mountain. The route we continue and see at the end of the road Atjoni. How looks our tour?
Day 1, after arriving to visit the beautiful rapids "Peti" located by boat from the resort a few minutes. The Coesewijne Nature Reserve, just northwest of Paramaribo is a special area. It is a completely different nature than the forest areas that are zuiderlijker in Suriname. In this wetland area with flood forests, swamps and savannas, we look for the giant otters, manatees, capi bari, monkeys and a large amount of unusual birds. This is a wonderful adventure for young and old.
What are we going to do?
On day 1 we collect in "Cycling in Suriname" where we are brought together with our canoes to the starting point of the trip by truck, the top Coesewijne. We make our way along narrow and overgrown creek, regularly out of the boat to drag along these obstacles and fallen trees. We make an early camp and what could be nicer than to enjoy all the sounds of the jungle while enjoying a good meal, knowing that in the remotest no man in sight is. Only we and the jungle. How the day looks like?
On the first day we pick you up at 07: 00h picked up from your residence location. The basics of road driving and safety instructions are explained to you so that you become familiar with the adventure that awaits you. After a short break, go with your companions and guide path. We cross towards the Jodensavanne. In the afternoon you find yourself with the vehicle in the savanna. In the savannah, you get the opportunity to try yourself all aspects of off road riding. With large puddles, mud baths, hills and deep pits you and your traveling companions take various obstacles and devise solutions to your challenges that nature presents. At the end of the day you make the camp ready along with the guide, you will enjoy a well deserved dinner and prepare yourself for the night in a hammock in the middle of the savannah.
The next day you go adventure after a hearty breakfast again with a savannah trail and a trail through woods and creek. Where is Galibi?
The area is located on the Maroni River, at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. Galibi is the name of two Karaìbse Indian villages, Christian and Langamankondre. These indigenous villages have emerged from slavery and have now grown into a community of about 750 residents.
What are we going to do?
