Day One (1) / 9th October 2013 – Welcome to New Delhi!

Arrive at New Delhi International Airport to a warm welcome by your attentive guide; you will be chauffeured to your hotel.

Day two (2) / 10th October 2013 – The foothills of Kumaon …

Proceed to the Anand Vihar Train Terminal to board your train to Kathgodam at 0600hrs. You will be served breakfast on the train.

You will arrive at Kathgodam at 1130hrs and begin your drive to the river. The drive to Pancheshwar (the starting point of the float-trip) takes roughly 7 hours.

Stop en-route for lunch.

Arrive at Pancheshwar by 1600hrs to your first pre-set camp.

You will be introduced to the guides who will help you set-up your fishing tackle.

Day three (3) / 11th October 2013 – Pancheshwar & the leopard trail…

Pancheshwar is the confluence of the Saryu and the Mahakali rivers. Enjoy angling in this productive stretch of river.

Pay an inspiring visit to the ancient temple of Pancheshwar. This high-energy spot makes your wishes come true!

Enjoy a refreshing hot bucket bath in your ideally located & private camp. While the service staff is pampering you with starters – our chef prepares a mouth watering, traditional Indian dinner for you.

Day four (4) / 12th October 2013 – Pancheshwar

Spend a historical day trying different fishing spots as you make your way to the confluence.

As your attentive guide has you try some of his favorite techniques in his favorite spots, you will be connecting with the Golden Goddess of the Saryu.

Feel enriched as you fish these legendary waters.

Day five (5) / 13th October 2013 – Pancheshwar & Beyond

Get ready to embark on your angling adventure along the borders of India & Nepal.

Soon after lunch after floating into your camping spot for the next day, you will have the opportunity of fish a productive and undisturbed stretch of river that often produced some good fish.

Day six (6) / 14th October 2013 – The Land of the Mighty Mahseer …

Continue your angling adventure in search of the mighty Mahseer.

Day seven (7) / 15th October 2013 – Chukka

While you enjoy a non-strenuous day rafting down to the Chukka – the legendary village from the classic epic; The Man Eaters of Kumaon, by Jim Corbett, you will have the opportunity see some mountain-goat Ghural.

Your guide pulls the raft over for you to make a few casts in one of the many remote and productive stretches.

Floating into the confluence of the Ladia River with Mahakali at Chukka you will be witnessing what makes this special location a prolific producer of trophy Mahseer.

Day eight (8) to ten (10) / 16th to 18th October 2013 – Chukka

Explore this fascinating region its productive Mahseer fishery.

You may take a break from Mahseer fishing and indulge in a historical exploration with a visit to Thak, where Jim Corbett shot a man-eating tiger back in 1937.

Day ten (11) / 19th October 2013 – Riding the dragon’s back…

After a mornings fishing session get set to raft down to Tanakpur. You will experience some exciting white water today.

On route you will stop for a packed lunch. Drive to the Western Ramganga River Lodge (5 hours)

Arrive & settle in.

Day twelve (12) / 20th October 2013 – The Western Ramganga River Lodge

Awaken to the luxury of a hot cup of coffee & tea at the doorstep of your private cottage.

Make the most of the early morning’s fishing session. The first few casts may result in a fish of your dreams! After enjoying the days fishing and a sumptuous breakfast and packed lunch on the river; return back to the The Himalayan Outback lodge as the sun disappears behind the foothills.

Spend a relaxing evening enjoying the company of your hosts and contemplating under the stars in this magical location.

Day thirteen (13) – fifteen (15) / 21st – 23rd October 2013 – Fishing in the Western Ramganga River:

Rise early; feeling energized by a harmony of bird calls and a soaking-in a comfortable downstream breeze as you sip on a hot beverage overlooking the unique setting of the outskirts of the Corbett tiger reserve and the western Ramganga valley.

After an early breakfast you will be lead by your personal guide to the pre-historic Nagtale village from where you will begin fishing.

You fish your way down to the lodge you will be wading through a series of undisturbed pools and beautiful runs. After a brief rest, post-lunch you will begin fishing down-stream from the lodge.

While you are enjoying appetizers around the bon-fire your hosts will brief you about the overnight fishing

Day sixteen (16) – 24th October 2013 – Journey to New Delhi

Enjoy a relaxed morning. After a sumptuous breakfast get set to depart the lodge and drive via Jim Corbett’s winter house, in Kaladungi to Kathgodam to board your train back to New Delhi.

You will arrive in Delhi at 2200hrs.

Day seventeen (17) / 25th October 2013 – Depart

You will be dropped back to the airport. Check out time from the hotel is 1200hrs.

Day One (1) / 29th September 2013 – Welcome to New Delhi!

Arrive at New Delhi International Airport to a warm welcome by your attentive guide; you will be chauffeured to your B&B.

Day two (2) / 30th September 2013 – The foothills of Kumaon…

After an early breakfast, proceed to the Anand Vihar Train Terminal to board your train to Kathgodam at 0600hrs.

You will arrive in Kathgodam at 1130hrs and transferred to your hotel.

Enjoy a relaxing evening after a refreshing hot shower and a traditional Indian dinner with your hosts overlooking the panorama of the Himalayan foothills.

Day three (3) / 1st October 2013 – Kathgodam to Ghat

Begin your drive to the river after a leisurely breakfast. The drive to Ghat (the starting point of the float-trip) takes roughly 7 hours.

Stop en-route for lunch that is specially packed by the chef at the lodge.

Arrive at Ghat by 1600hrs and begin your float trip down to your first pre-set camp.

You will be introduced to the guides who will help you set-up your fishing tackle.

Day four (4) / 2nd October 2013 – Begin your Himalayan angling adventure…

Rise early, after a cup of tea / coffee your guide will accompany to your fishing spot.

After a sumptuous breakfast begin your float further down the Saryu. While the staffs shift the camp to the next location, you will have the opportunity to explore some productive Mahseer fishing along with your personal guide.

Arrive at this new location after lunch and settle in.

Fishing from the camp in the evening and end the day with a refreshing hot bucket back followed by delicious appetizers and dinner that is served around the bon fire.

Day five (5) / 3rd October 2013 – Following the migratory gateway…

An early start as your experienced guides have you cover-water on this productive stretch of the Saryu.

As you prepare to float-down; the supporting staff will wrap up camp.

Fly anglers and fish with double or single-handed fly rods.

Day six (6) / 4th October 2013 – A day with Misty Dhillon

Your personal guide for the day, Misty Dhillon will be sharing with you some of the most effective lure & fly fishing techniques for the Himalayan Mahseer.

Misty will be guiding you on some of his favorite waters, on a stretch of water that consistently produce large Himalayan Mahseer.

Day seven (7) / 5th October 2013 – A passion for Himalayan Mahseer…

Today you will be floating down to Pancheshwar – the confluence of

the Saryu River with the Mahakali. Enjoy angling in this serene stretch of productive Himalayan Mahseer water.

Soaking in this high-end angling experience; you will realize what makes the Himalayan Mahseer such a special game-fish. Your guide will explain to you the local customs and traditions; inspiring you with his stories of legend and self-sustenance of cultures that surround this unique fishery.

Day ten (11) / 9th October 2013 – Pancheshwar to New Delhi

You will be saying goodbye to your hosts after a sumptuous breakfast, following an (8-hour) drive via Champawat to Kathgodam. Board your train to New Delhi at 1530hrs. You will arrive in New Delhi at 2200hrs from where you are transferred to your bed & breakfast.

Day eleven (12) / 10th October 2013 – Depart

Day two (2) / NOVEMBER 17th, 2013: Fly to Guwahati where you will be met and driven to your hotel that is a 4-hour drive from the airport.

Day three (3) / NOVEMBER 18th, 2013: After an early start towards Ziro, your next destination; you will be chauffeured into Arunchal Pradesh through beautiful tea plantations, unimaginably lush, green rainforest. Amble through this rich jungle environment onto the dramatic plateau of Ziro and your first views of Arunachal Pradesh’s high altitude. Settle into your lodge & get a well deserved nights rest.

Day four (4) / NOVEMBER 18th, 2013: Continue your drive leaving behind Ziro toward the starting point of your float-trip to begin your adventure on the mighty Subansiri River.

Your river guides and boats await you at the starting point of the trip and after a thorough safety briefing begin your decent to your fishing spot – a wild and remote beach on the Subansiri River.

Day five (5) / NOVEMBER 19th, 2013 to Day nine (9) / NOVEMBER 24th, 2013:

Spend the next five days immersed into the world of fishing for the legendary Mahseer , floating, fishing & camping in a remote stretch of the Subansiri River in Arunachal Pradesh. Your nights are spent in your expedition style tented camp in serene beaches on the banks fo the Subansiri. In the meantime you will have wonderful opportunities to connect with some of the local culture and feel like a part of it.

Day ten (10) / NOVEMBER 25th, 2013:

Reach the end of the expedition and after a final lunch on the banks of the Subansiri river at Gerukamukh in the district of North Lakhimpur in upper Assam; continue your journey from the lush green highlands to the capital of Assam, Guwahati where you will be spending the night before departing for New Delhi the following day.

Day eleven (11) / NOVEMBER 26th, 2013:

After a final breakfast in Assam fly to New Delhi where you will be met and transferred to The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi. Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Delhi before returning back to The Oberoi Hotel for a farewell dinner with your hosts.

Day twelve (12) NOVEMBER 27th, 2013:

You will be driven back to the New Delhi International Airport to board your flight back home this morning. Check-out from The Oberoi Hotel is at 1200hrs.
